مَّنْ خَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيبٍ ﴿33﴾

Display verse 33, Surah Qaaf in the Quran

English Translation

Who feared the Most Merciful unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance]. (33)

English Transliteration

Man khashiya alrrahmana bialghaybi wajaa biqalbin muneebin (33)

Tafsir of Verse 33

Whosoever fears the All-merciful in the Unseen, and comes with a penitent heart: (33)

"Who feared (Allah) Most Gracious Unseen, and brought a heart turned in devotion (to Him): (33)

In verse [ 33] we have the statement وَجَاءَ بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيبٍ (...and comes up with a heart oriented towards Him....50:33]. Abu Bakr Warraq (رح) says that the characteristics of a munib is that he always maintains respect for Allah and humbles himself to Him and gives up his sensual and base desires.
