Tafsir of Surah Al-Ikhlaas (Yusuf Ali: Abdullah Yusuf Ali)

قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ﴿1﴾

English Translation

Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One, (1)

English Transliteration

Qul huwa Allahu ahadun (1)

Tafsir of Verse 1

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only; (1)

ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ ﴿2﴾

English Translation

Allah, the Eternal Refuge. (2)

English Transliteration

Allahu alssamadu (2)

Tafsir of Verse 2

Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; (2)

لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ ﴿3﴾

English Translation

He neither begets nor is born, (3)

English Transliteration

Lam yalid walam yooladu (3)

Tafsir of Verse 3

He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; (3)

وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌۢ ﴿4﴾

English Translation

Nor is there to Him any equivalent." (4)

English Transliteration

Walam yakun lahu kufuwan ahadun (4)

Tafsir of Verse 4

And there is none like unto Him. (4)
