قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ ﴿1﴾ مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ﴿2﴾ وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ﴿3﴾ وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّٰثَٰتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ ﴿4﴾ وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ﴿5﴾

Tafsir of Surah Al-Falaq (Yusuf Ali: Abdullah Yusuf Ali)

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ ﴿1﴾

English Translation

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak (1)

English Transliteration

Qul aAAoothu birabbi alfalaqi (1)

Tafsir of Verse 1

Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn (1)

مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ﴿2﴾

English Translation

From the evil of that which He created (2)

English Transliteration

Min sharri ma khalaqa (2)

Tafsir of Verse 2

From the mischief of created things; (2)

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ﴿3﴾

English Translation

And from the evil of darkness when it settles (3)

English Transliteration

Wamin sharri ghasiqin itha waqaba (3)

Tafsir of Verse 3

From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads; (3)

وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّٰثَٰتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ ﴿4﴾

English Translation

And from the evil of the blowers in knots (4)

English Transliteration

Wamin sharri alnnaffathati fee alAAuqadi (4)

Tafsir of Verse 4

From the mischief of those who practise secret arts; (4)

وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ﴿5﴾

English Translation

And from the evil of an envier when he envies." (5)

English Transliteration

Wamin sharri hasidin itha hasada (5)

Tafsir of Verse 5

And from the mischief of the envious one as he practises envy. (5)
