إِذَا جَآءَ نَصْرُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْفَتْحُ ﴿1﴾ وَرَأَيْتَ ٱلنَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِى دِينِ ٱللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا ﴿2﴾ فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ تَوَّابًۢا ﴿3﴾

Tafsir of Surah An-Nasr (Arberry: A. J. Arberry)

إِذَا جَآءَ نَصْرُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْفَتْحُ ﴿1﴾

English Translation

When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest, (1)

English Transliteration

Itha jaa nasru Allahi waalfathu (1)

Tafsir of Verse 1

When comes the help of God, and victory, (1)

وَرَأَيْتَ ٱلنَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِى دِينِ ٱللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا ﴿2﴾

English Translation

And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes, (2)

English Transliteration

Waraayta alnnasa yadkhuloona fee deeni Allahi afwajan (2)

Tafsir of Verse 2

and thou seest men entering God's religion in throngs, (2)

فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ تَوَّابًۢا ﴿3﴾

English Translation

Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance. (3)

English Transliteration

Fasabbih bihamdi rabbika waistaghfirhu innahu kana tawwaban (3)

Tafsir of Verse 3

then proclaim the praise of thy Lord, and seek His forgiveness; for He turns again unto men. (3)
