Tafsir of Verse 63, Surah Ash-Shu'araa

فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلْبَحْرَ ۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَٱلطَّوْدِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿63﴾

Display verse 63, Surah Ash-Shu'araa in the Quran

English Translation

Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain. (63)

English Transliteration

Faawhayna ila moosa ani idrib biAAasaka albahra fainfalaqa fakana kullu firqin kaalttawdi alAAatheemi (63)

Tafsir of Verse 63

Then We revealed to Moses, 'Strike with thy staff the sea'; and it clave, and each part was as a mighty mount. (63)

Then We told Moses by inspiration: "Strike the sea with thy rod." So it divided, and each separate part became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. (63)
