Tafsir of Verse 39, Surah Ibrahim

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى وَهَبَ لِى عَلَى ٱلْكِبَرِ إِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسْحَٰقَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى لَسَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَآءِ ﴿39﴾

Display verse 39, Surah Ibrahim in the Quran

English Translation

Praise to Allah, who has granted to me in old age Ishmael and Isaac. Indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of supplication. (39)

English Transliteration

Alhamdu lillahi allathee wahaba lee AAala alkibari ismaAAeela waishaqa inna rabbee lasameeAAu aldduAAai (39)

Tafsir of Verse 39

Praise be to God, who has given me, though I am old, Ishmael and Isaac; surely my Lord hears the petition. (39)

"Praise be to Allah, Who hath granted unto me in old age Isma'il and Isaac: for truly my Lord is He, the Hearer of Prayer! (39)
