Tafsir of Verse 15, Surah Ibrahim

وَٱسْتَفْتَحُوا۟ وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ ﴿15﴾

English Translation

And they requested victory from Allah, and disappointed, [therefore], was every obstinate tyrant. (15)

English Transliteration

Waistaftahoo wakhaba kullu jabbarin AAaneedin (15)

Tafsir of Verse 15

They sought a judgment; then was disappointed every froward tyrant -- (15)

But they sought victory and decision (there and then), and frustration was the lot of every powerful obstinate transgressor. (15)
