Surah Al-Baqara: Verse 66 - فجعلناها نكالا لما بين يديها... - English

Tafsir of Verse 66, Surah Al-Baqara

فَجَعَلْنَٰهَا نَكَٰلًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا وَمَا خَلْفَهَا وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴿66﴾

Display verse 66, Surah Al-Baqara in the Quran

English Translation

And We made it a deterrent punishment for those who were present and those who succeeded [them] and a lesson for those who fear Allah. (66)

English Transliteration

FajaAAalnaha nakalan lima bayna yadayha wama khalfaha wamawAAithatan lilmuttaqeena (66)

Tafsir of Verse 66

And We made it a punishment exemplary for all the former times and for the latter, and an admonition to such as are godfearing. (66)

So We made it an example to their own time and to their posterity, and a lesson to those who fear Allah. (66)
