Tafsir of Verse 67, Surah Al-A'raaf

قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ لَيْسَ بِى سَفَاهَةٌ وَلَٰكِنِّى رَسُولٌ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿67﴾

Display verse 67, Surah Al-A'raaf in the Quran

English Translation

[Hud] said, "O my people, there is not foolishness in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds." (67)

English Transliteration

Qala ya qawmi laysa bee safahatun walakinnee rasoolun min rabbi alAAalameena (67)

Tafsir of Verse 67

Said he, 'My people, there is no folly in me; but I am a Messenger from the Lord of all Being.' (67)

He said: "O my people! I am no imbecile, but (I am) a messenger from the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds! (67)

Its reply which appears in verses 67 and 68 is nearly the same as given by Sayyidna Nuh (علیہ السلام) - 61-63.
