Tafsir of Verse 22, Surah Al-Ahqaf

قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَأْفِكَنَا عَنْ ءَالِهَتِنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ ﴿22﴾

Display verse 22, Surah Al-Ahqaf in the Quran

English Translation

They said, "Have you come to delude us away from our gods? Then bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the truthful." (22)

English Transliteration

Qaloo ajitana litafikana AAan alihatina fatina bima taAAiduna in kunta mina alssadiqeena (22)

Tafsir of Verse 22

They said, 'What, hast thou come to pervert us from our gods? Then bring us that thou promisest us, if indeed thou speakest truly.' (22)

They said: "Hast thou come in order to turn us aside from our gods? Then bring upon us the (calamity) with which thou dost threaten us, if thou art telling the truth?" (22)
