سُورَةُ الرَّحۡمَٰن
Page 533 (Verses from 41 to 67)

يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ فِيهِنَّ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَٰنُ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Tafsir of Surah Ar-Rahmaan (Yusuf Ali: Abdullah Yusuf Ali)

English Translation

The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.

English Transliteration

YuAArafu almujrimoona biseemahum fayukhathu bialnnawasee waalaqdami

(For) the sinners will be known by their marks: and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet.

English Translation

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

English Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?

English Translation

This is Hell, which the criminals deny.

English Transliteration

Hathihi jahannamu allatee yukaththibu biha almujrimoona

This is the Hell which the Sinners deny:

English Translation

They will go around between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].

English Transliteration

Yatoofoona baynaha wabayna hameemin anin

In its midst and in the midst of boiling hot water will they wander round!

English Translation

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

English Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?

English Translation

But for he who has feared the position of his Lord are two gardens -

English Transliteration

Waliman khafa maqama rabbihi jannatani

But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens-

English Translation

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

English Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-

English Translation

Having [spreading] branches.

English Transliteration

Thawata afnanin

Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);-

English Translation

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

English Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-

English Translation

In both of them are two springs, flowing.

English Transliteration

Feehima AAaynani tajriyani

In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free);

English Translation

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

English Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-

English Translation

In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds.

English Transliteration

Feehima min kulli fakihatin zawjani

In them will be Fruits of every kind, two and two.

English Translation

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

English Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?

English Translation

[They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.

English Transliteration

Muttakieena AAala furushin batainuha min istabraqin wajana aljannatayni danin

They will recline on Carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade: the Fruit of the Gardens will be near (and easy of reach).

English Translation

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

English Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?

English Translation

In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinni -

English Transliteration

Feehinna qasiratu alttarfi lam yatmithhunna insun qablahum wala jannun

In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-

English Translation

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

English Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-

English Translation

As if they were rubies and coral.

English Transliteration

Kaannahunna alyaqootu waalmarjanu

Like unto Rubies and coral.

English Translation

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

English Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?

English Translation

Is the reward for good [anything] but good?

English Transliteration

Hal jazao alihsani illa alihsanu

Is there any Reward for Good - other than Good?

English Translation

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

English Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?

English Translation

And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -

English Transliteration

Wamin doonihima jannatani

And besides these two, there are two other Gardens,-

English Translation

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

English Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-

English Translation

Dark green [in color].

English Transliteration

Mudhammatani

Dark-green in colour (from plentiful watering).

English Translation

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

English Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?

English Translation

In both of them are two springs, spouting.

English Transliteration

Feehima AAaynani naddakhatani

In them (each) will be two Springs pouring forth water in continuous abundance:

English Translation

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

English Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
